The advantage of strongly biased media is that biased people will pay for it. People like to be told what they already believe, and this is the reason that Fox News has been so profitable.
The disadvantage of intentionally agenda-biased media is that important stories will be covered poorly or not at all. Hard questions won’t get asked. It reminds me of Fox News during the 2008 election coverage asking one of Sarah Palin’s children the hard hitting question: “Why will your mommy make a great vice president?” That was about as tough as the questions got.
