SHORTCOMINGS OF THE OFFICIAL RECORDS:

Official records are very important source of official works done in history. They only wrote the official records as they believed writing was a must to run and govern a country. They believed that it would help them to systematically run a country. However, They give us information only on what the Britishers did, and not what common people did and felt under the rule of British. Also, The official records don't tell us what the Britishers thinked at the time, it only had their orders, rules, amendments , etc.
