DORAS: Doras lived in large fortified houses to control the whole village.
They had servants & powerful soldiers. They had vast lands cultivated by tenants. They settled the disputes in villages. These are very aggressive & kind less towards peasants.
ZAMINDARS: These are just mediators between the state & peasants.They were changed according to the demands of British.These people led the luxurious life like British.They did not maintain private armies or gangs.These landlords changed peasants where they found defaulters.
