Homesickness is the distress caused by being away from home.
Seasickness is the reaction of your body's inner ear balance system to the unfamiliar motion of the ship/ boat. It is the distress caused by traveling through sea in a boat or ship.
The only similarity is that both sickness cause when we are away from the place, where we are familiar with... that is home sickness causes when we are shifting from own place to different place and seasickness causes when we are shifting from land to sea.
