  • Platonic idealism generally refers to Plato's philosophy of doctrine or forms of ideas. It says that only ideas encompass  the essential and true nature of things, in a way which concrete/physical form cannot do. Since knowledge is inherent and not gained via experience, Plato claimed that in some way we must come to the facts by way of logical and introspection analysis  and eradicate false ideas to uncover reality.
  • Like Plato's idealism, Hegel idealism signified that the finite world is a reflection of the mind that is genuinely real alone.
