The similarities between the magnetic field in a solenoid and that of a bar magnet are as follows :-

➡ Both have the attractive property . They both can attract any ferromagnetic particles .

➡They both have magnetic lines of force which never intersect one another .

Explanation:

A solenoid is made by wounding a wire around soft iron .

It is also called temporary magnet because the polarity of the current can be easily changed.

Also the direction of magnetic fields can be changed.

This cannot be done in bar magnets .

Bar magnets can never be demagnetized .
