Both in bastar and java, the traditional rights of the tribes who lived in the forests were taken away and they were forced by their colonial government to work for them. There was a large scale of deforestation that took place in both place in both the regions and scientific forestry was implemented. Both in the colonial government faced rebellion due to their acts.
