Types of sentences in English Grammar are :-

1) Assertive Sentence - A simple sentence is categorized as an Assertive Sentence.

Example:- Ram is a Boy.

We are best friends.

2) Interrogative Sentence - A sentence asking question is categorized as Interrogative Sentence

Example :- Who are you?

Where are you going?

3) Imperative Sentence - A sentence containing a command or request is categorized as Imperative Sentence.

Example :- Turn Off the Television.

Please give me a glass of water.

4) Exclamatory Sentence - A sentence expressing sudden feeling of happiness, sadness, etc is categorized as Exclamatory Sentence.

Example :- What a horrible book it was!

Alas! He is dead!

5) Negative Sentence - A sentence in negative form is categorized as Negative Sentence.

Example:- He is not a good boy.

She doesn't know how to write.
