Actually Welcome to the Concept of the Straight lines.

We know that, the General equation of the straight line is given as :-

y = mx + c

=> where, m = slope of the line and c is the intercept of the given line.

hence observing the equation,

y = 5x - 2 ,

=> slope of the line = m = 5 .

=> intercept of the line is -2
