There are two source of history :-

1. Primary sources - these are the original matters on which other resources is based. diaries, letters, interviews, oral histories, photographs, newspaper articles, government documents, poems, novels, plays, and music are some examples of primary sources.

2. Secondary sources - these sources describe or analyse the primary sources of information. books and articles that interpret, review, or sythesize original research/fieldwork are some examples of secondary sources.
