the sources of information for historians were:

MONUMENTS

they helped in studying about the royal life and their way of living , capitals used and material used to make them. for e.g- taj Mahal, Ajanta caves, alora caves , qutumb minar etc.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY AND BIOGRAPHY

autobiographies are books written by the individual thereselves about there life and experience.

biographies are books written by anyone else about the life of an inspirational or famous person.

so, they help historians to study the past expirenes through these books.for eg. akbarnama,the wings etc.

MANUSCRIPT

these are written documents which also helped historians to know about past decisions and actions.
