Some examples include think (when it is used to show an opinion), own, know, contain, feel, and love, among others. Since they are unchanging states of being, rather than actions, stative verbs cannot be used in the progressive '-ing' form.

If you want to describe a state of being, such as how you're feeling or what you think about something, then you have to use a stative verb.
examples
'I think tomatoes are gross.'
However, you cannot change this and say:
'I am thinking tomatoes are gross.'
