Germany was caught by a great depression and many people needed a job. They got employed into a military industry and both them and Hitler benefited from it. Also large number of them went into the military which was also in Hitler's favor. Then Hitler came up with a legal fraud called “MEFO Bills” so he could secretly rearm. Then he militarized Rheinland and Sudetenland while others stood silent.
