● Arteries have thick, elastic, muscular walls whereas veins have thin walls with few elastic fibres.
● Veins have one-way valves whereas arteries do not have any valves.

The structural difference between arteries and veins are as followed :
ARTERIES - these have thick elastic walls. because these carry blood with high pressure .
They are present deeply under the skin.
VEINS : these are thin in nature, and carry the blood with low pressure .
These are present just below the skin.
