Efflorescence is a property of some substance that loses their water of crystallisation and becomes powder, when exposed to atmosphere.for ex: washing soda.

Deliquescence is the property of some substance that absorbs moisture from the atmospheric air and finally dissolves in it forming a solution. For ex: Mgcl2.

Efflorescent:

certain hydrates loss water when exposed to Air for example sodium sulphate (Na2 SO4 lOH2O) which loses its water content and become powder . the loss of water from hydrated compounds to the surrounding is called as Efflorescence.

Deliquescence:

certain water soluble substances when exposed to the atmosphere at ordinary temperature , absorbed moisture from the atmospheric air to become moist and ultimately dissolve in the absorbed water .Such substances are called deliquescent substances and the phenomenon is called

deliquescence.
