The action from a force can cause an object to move or speed up (accelerate), to slow down (decelerate), to stop, or to change direction. Since any change in velocity is considered acceleration, it can be said that a force on an object results in the acceleration of an object.

Answer:

Let us start with the definition of force which is " Force is kind of push, pull or twist by which an object changes it's velocity or place.

Explanation:

If we push a car from behind, it may move to a certain point. Here we can say the force is applied to move the vehicle.

Similarly, when we are fishing, we have to pull and it is a very good example of applying force.
