Threats to environment of Assam:
Assam is a state situated in North-Eastern India. This state is home to a large ecosystem consisting of forests wetlands, mountains, a huge variety of animals, etc.
The present scenario of Assam is very threatening. All the increase in population along with the increase in tourism industry is leading to a very serious change in the ecosystem of Assam.
The encroachment of the people in large scales is again contributing to increasing population. This increase in population is increasing exploitation of resources like fishing, food hunting, etc. Dumping of wetlands for extra space of living is adding to all these.
