HEY!!!!

➡By the end of the war the country was heavily in debt. by 1919 Germany was no longer the second most economically advanced nation in the world.

➡The immediate economic consequences of the terms of the Treaty of Versailles were a significant concern and added to Germany's humiliation .

➡The treaty also hurt Germany psychologically. Its terms, such as the war guilt clause and the terms that robbed Germany of territory and the right to have a true military, angered Germans.

➡Their anger, when combined with the economic impact of the reparations, was to help allow Hitler to come to power in 1933.

Impacts of treaty of Versailles were:

◾️Germany lost all of it's overseas colonies, a tenth of its population and 13% of it's territories.

◾️26% of it's coal mines and 75% of it's iron were given to France Poland, Denmark and Lithuania.

◾️The resource rich Rhineland of Germany was occupied by allied armies which gave a heavy loss to Germany.
