The three ways to control fire are :-
- Excluding the air.
- Excluding the heat by blowing.
- Excluding the fuel.
- Fire needs oxygen. And, oxygen is present in air around us. If we will exclude the air, the fire could not get the sufficient oxygen. And hence, the fire can be controlled.
- Fire needs a hot atmosphere to burn. Now, if however we will remove the hot atmosphere around it by blowing (or by putting water), the atmosphere will cool down. And hence, the fire can be controlled.
- At last, the most necessary component of fire is fuel. If we will remove the fuel, the fire will not be supported and the it will be controlled. However, it is not possible to exclude the fuel in every way because, if a building is on fire then, the whole building is fuel. And, obviously it is not possible to remove the whole building.
