in the chapter ' the fundamental unit of life-cell'.
,we have 3 type of solutions : hypertonic, hypotonic and isotonic solution
in a hypertonic solution the consentration of water outside the cell is less as compared to inside the cell therefore water moves from inside the cell to its outside . in such a case the RBC shrinks and is called crenated RBC whereas in a plant cell all the content inside the cell membrane shrinks and gets collected inside.
a hypertonic solution is just the opposite of hypertonic solution in this solution the amount of water is more outside the cell than inside therefore the water moves inside and the cell swells up. the swelling of plant cell is called plasmolysis and the swollen plant cell is called plasmolysed cell. the RBC gets swelled up and bursts. the bursting of RBC is called haemolysis and the burst RBC is called plasmolysed RBC. the plant cell do not burst up because of the present of the thick cell membrane.
in Isotonic solution the concentration of water inside and outside the cell is same so there is no net result on the cell.

Answer:

the three type of solution are :

1) Hypertonic solution

2) Hypotonic solution

3) Isotonic solution

Explanation:

1) Hypertonic solution : In this case the cell will shrink because water moves out of cell

2) Hypotonic solution : In this case the cell will swell because the water moves inside the cell

3) Isotonic solution : In this case there will be no effect on cell
