modern periodic table is consists of 146 elements and their is 4 blocks S,P,D,F blocks. Their spdf blocks are divided into groups and periods.D block elements are also known as transition elements and F block elements are known as Inner transitions elements as well as P block elements are known as representative elements.

there are 18 groups and 7 periods. In which 7 periods and 2 groups are S block elements and 3rd group to12 group elements , 3rd to 12 group elements are known as D block elements.upto 13 to 18 group and 2nd to 7 group are known as p block elements.

shreenidhi2: 146 is wrong it is 114 elements.
shreenidhi2: sorry

\large\textbf{\underline{HERE\:IS\:YOUR\:ANSWER}}

Trends in the Modern Periodic Table are:-

⏩ Valency.

⏩ Atomic Size.

⏩ Metallic and Non-Metallic properties.

{\mathfrak{\underline{Valency}}}

The valency of an element determined by the number of valence electrons present in the outermost shell of its atom.

⏺ Valency down a group same.

⏺ Valency across a period (left to right) varies ie. first increases then decreases.

{\mathfrak{\underline{Atomic\:Size}}}

The atomic size is the distance between the center of the nucleus and the outermost shell of an isolated atom.

⏺Across a period, Left to right atomic size decrease and Right to left increases.

⏺Atomic size increase down a group.

{\mathfrak{\underline{Metallic\:and\:Non-metallic\:properties}}}

In the modern periodic table, a zig-zag line separates metals from non-metals.

⏺ Metal tend to lose electrons while forming bonds. So they are electropositive in nature.

⏺️ Non-metal tend to form bonds by gaining electrons. So they are electronegative in nature.
