Low clouds are of mostly composed of water droplets since their basesgenerally lie below 6,500 feet (2,000 meters). However, when temperatures are cold enough, these clouds may also contain ice particles and snow. Probably the most familiar of theclassified clouds is the cumuluscloud.

Explanation:

"A cloud is a mass of small water droplets" or "tiny ice crystals that float in the air". When condensation takes place in the atmosphere it forms clouds. The warm humid air is lighter and it rises upwards in the atmosphere. When the air rises it cools and condensation takes place. Through condensation the water vapours are converted into small droplets of water or very small crystals of ice. Millions of such tiny droplets or ice crystals hang in the air due to their very little weight and even a minor upward movement of air keeps them afloat in the air. Masses of such small water droplets or ice crystals are called clouds. Clouds are classified into various types on the basis of appearance and height.
