Euglena have chloroplasts for photosynthesis and amoeba do not. Amoeba are heterotrophic, while euglena are mixotrophs. Euglena use flagella for locomotion; amoeba do not. Amoeba move by cytoplasmic streaming extending pseudopods forward.
