What are the two differences between electric motor and generator?

electric motor converts electrical energy into mechanical energy
generator converts mechanical energy to electric energy
electrical motor works on principle that
if any current conducting wire placed in area of magnetic field it experiences force while generator works on the principle of electromagnetic generator
in electric motor only split ring is used while in electric generator slip as well as split ring is used‍♀️

The main difference between the two is that the Motor is an electric device which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The generator is vice versa of that motor. It converts mechanical energy into electrical energy.
