These are divided into:-
a) The Central highland
b) The Deccan plateau
a) CENTRAL PLATEAU:- This Pleatue can be found in the north of the Narmada river. It also encompasses the larger part of the Malwa plateau. The rivers in this area pass from southwest to northeast which symbolizes the inclination of this region.
DECCAN PLATEAU:- This Pleatue can be found in the south of Narmada river which is triangular in shape. The Satpura range forms its northern part. The Kaimur Hills, Mahadev, and Maikal mountain forms its eastern part. The inclination of the Deccan plateau is from West to East. It stretches from north-east which comprises Meghalaya, Karbi and the North Cacher hills
