The factors which create differences in the society are:

1. RELIGION- many people see religion as the principle basis of society and want to maintain the supremacy of their religion by political mobilisation and by appealing  to the sentiments of people. The expression of religion in politics can result in negative effects also.

2.CASTE: people still follow the old beliefs of marrying within the same caste and eating with their caste members which create differences b/w people even if they are of same religion. Caste is also referred as vote bank of India
