On the heating of lead nitrate formation of toxic fumes of lead occur, which is very harmful for the human body, formation of oxygen, and also the formation of nitrogen dioxide occurs.

2Pb(NO3)2  → 2PbO + 4NO2 + O2

When heated, lead(II) nitrate crystals decompose to lead(II)oxide, oxygen and nitrogen do oxide

2 Pb(NO3)2 (s) --------->2 PbO (s) + 4 NO2 (g) + O2 (g)

so,NO2 and O2 gases are released when Lead nitrate is heated
