The Five Kingdoms of Life: Monera (Bacteria), Protists, Fungi, Animals, Plants. In the five-kingdom arrangement, the subdivisions of the old two-kingdom classification are not altered. Instead, they are redistributed among additional kingdoms. Such an arrangement reflects the phylogeny of different lifestyles better.

Two kingdoms were
1) Animal kingdom
2) plant kingdom.
They are appropriate bcz they included both prokaryotic and eukaryotic in the same kingdom.
Earlier fungi and monerans are also included in plant kingdom which are now excluded and put in different kingdom.
