There are three types of bonds:-
1. Metallic bond= bond which exists between metal atoms. It is the sharing of many detached electrons between many positive ions.
2. Covallent bond= bond which exists between non-metal atoms. Non-metals share there electrons.
3. Ionic bond= bond which exists between metal and a non-metal. Metals donate electrons becoming positive ions and non-metals gain electrons becoming negative ions.
