What are the two main types of sources available to a historian?

Primary sources of history include hand-written manuscripts, interviews, speeches etc which have been originally created at the time of an historical event.  Secondary sources include magazines, travelogues, historical accounts which have been written after that particular event.   It is written by people who were not present at that particular time and wrote an account of it later on.
