Answer: Nutrition is of two types namely, autotrophic and heterotrophic mode of nutrition. Plants exhibit autotrophic mode of nutrition. They prepare their own food by the process of photosynthesis. Animals exhibit heterotrophic mode of nutrition.

eg;Dogs, birds, fish, and humans are all examples of heterotrophs.

Plants such as blue-green algae and cyanobacteria could be considered as some examples of autotrophic nutrition.
