Two parts of email address:

There are two types of email address,

1. Local part

2. Domain Part

The local part as well as the domain part is separated by symbol “@”.

For example, consider an email address [email protected].  In this email address, “Support” is local part whereas “gmail.com” is a domain part.

Local part of the email address doesn’t have to follow any hard and fast rule. It depends upon the users who create it. The domain part must be prepared according to certain rules which must be followed by the users while creating the ids.
