The two parts of an Earthquake are :
◆ EPICENTER : It is the point in the Earth's surfac directly abobe the seismic focus or simply focus.
◆ FOCUS : It is the point from where the Earthquakes originate below the Earth's surface.
They are classified on the basis of the depth of an Earthquake (Generally Earthquakes occur from 55 metre below the Earth's surface to approximately 105 metre down the surface.)
