The nervous system is divided into central nervous system and peripheral nervous system.
Central nervous system has mainly two parts. They are Brain and Spinal cord.
The brain collects messages from the external stimuli and helps to respond it.
The peripheral nervous system is made up of cranial nerves and Spinal nerves.

The two parts of the nervous system are the central nervous system(CNS) and the peripheral nervous system(PNS).

The Central Nervous System:-
1.The central nervous system consists of the brain and the spinal cord.
2. It is responsible for the coordination and control of the activity of the nervous system.
3. The function of the nervous system is to direct incoming messages to the motor neurons that are connected to the part of the body which will respond to the stimuli.
4. Its job is to collect all the information from all the receptors in our body and then send the messages to the effectors.

The Peripheral Nervous System
1. The peripheral nervous system is made up of three types of nerves, that are spinal nerves, cranial nerves and visceral nerves
2. The peripheral nervous system has two parts-The autonomic nervous system and the voluntary nervous system.
