Jainism is one of the important religion that has emerged in ancient India. Jainism was founded by Vardhamana Mahavira. Jainism due to its principles rapidly spreaded into most of the parts in India. Many kings like Chandragupta Maurya, Bindusara, king of Kalinga etc preached Jainism.

Sects of Jainism:

After the death of Mahavira Jainism divided into two sects. They Svethambaras and Digambaras.

Svethambaras: This sect is called as sky clad. Jains of this sect wear clothes.

Digambaras: This sect is called as white clad. Jains of this sect stay naked.
