It can even change the direction of movement of the body and can also change the shape and size of the body. The SI unit of force is Newton(N).

Some examples of force are:

Gravitational force , Nuclear force, Frictional force Electric force ,Magnetic force.

There are two types of force. Which are contact force and non contact force.

Contact force

It is a force which is applied by objects  when there surfaces are in contact with each other.  This force can either be  continuous force or can be momentary in the form of an impulse.

Examples of Contact force:

- Friction, Normal force, and Muscular force.

Non-contact force

A non-contact force is a force applied to an object by another body which are not in direct contact with it. In this type of force,  objects  do not have physical contact between them .

Examples of non contact force:-

Gravitational force and Magnetic force.
