Algae, Fungi and Plants – International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi, and plants (ICN), which in July 2011 replaced the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (ICBN) and the earlier International Rules of Botanical Nomenclature.
Animals – International Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN)
Nomenclature is the standardised naming of living organisms that lead to this universal naming system.
Nomenclature is further classified into two types, such as :-
1. Vernacular naming system:- This is based upon naming of organisms by the use of common or local languages.
2. Scientific naming system:- This system further included the polynomial Nomenclature, trinomial Nomenclature and the binomial system of Nomenclature.
