Nomenclature is the standardised naming of living organisms that lead to this universal naming system.

Nomenclature is further classified into two types, such as :-

1. Vernacular naming system:- This is based upon naming of organisms by the use of common or local languages.

2. Scientific naming system:- This system further included the polynomial Nomenclature, trinomial Nomenclature and the binomial system of Nomenclature.
