There are two types of plastic
:-
• thermoplastic
• thermosetting plastic
▪ THERMOPLASTIC :- Those plastic which are soft on heating and can be moulded into different shapes and are able to do this process repeat.
▪ THERMOSETTING PLASTIC :- Those plastic which can be moulded at once and not to repeat tis process is known as thermosetting plastic.

1•A plastic which can be softened on heating and moulded repeatedly in the desired shapes is called a thermoplastic.

Some examples are: Polythene, PVC, Polystyrene, Nylon, Polyesters.

2•A plastic substance which once moulded into a shape cannot be softened or melted on reheating is called a thermosetting plastic. 

Some examples are: Bakelite and Melamine
