The two popular views in the society are that the world is either going to end through fire which represents desire, passion and want Or the world is going to end due to Ice which represents  hatred and  coldness.  

Explanation: In the poem Robert Frost proposes two ideas which are Fire meaning desire and Ice meaning Hatred. Fire is essential to human and hence causes destruction only when uncontrolled same with desire, So this world will either have so much desire and obsession or this will have hatred and be Ice cold.
