There are many ways to solve a liners equation.
Few are :
1. Substitution method
Where which, like in equations
x + y = 3 = > y = 3 - x ( gives you value of y)
In equation 2,
x - y = 1 => x - ( 3 - x) = 1 => x -3 +x = 1 => 2x = 4 => x = 2
This then gives you be of y, As 1.
Second method is of elimination method.
Few are :
