The amount of rotation about the point of intersection of two planes which is required to bring one in correspondence with the other is called an Angle.
Types of angles
There are six basic types of angles
- Acute angle – If an angle is less than 90 degrees, then it is called an acute angle
- Right angle – If an angle is exactly at 90 degrees, then it is called a right angle.
- Obtuse angle – If an angle is more than 90 degrees, then it is called obtuse angle
- Straight angle – If an angle is exactly 180 degrees, then it is called a straight angle.
- Reflex angle -If the angle is more than 180 degree but less than 270 degrees, it is labelled as a reflex angle.
- Full angle – A 360-degree angle is known as a full angle.
List of related angels
Other than the angle mentioned above there are some different angles which are
- Supplementary Angle – The sum of the measures of two angles is equal to 180°
- Complementary Angle – The sum of the measures of two angles is equal to 90°
- Linear pair – A linear pair is a pair of adjacent angles whose non-common sides are opposite rays
- Adjacent Angle – Adjacent angles have a common vertex and a common arm but no common interior points
- Vertically Opposite Angles – when two lines intersect, the vertically opposite angles so formed are equal.
Paris of lines
- Intersecting lines – The two lines will have one point in common if they intersect. Their point of intersection is this joint point O.
- Transversal – A line that intersects two or more lines at a different point is considered a transversal.
- Angles made by the transversal – There are different angles formed when the transversal cuts the lines.
- Transversal of Parallel Lines – The parallel lines are the lines which do not intersect anywhere.
