What are the types of Carbohydrates and give their general formula ?

Carbohydrates are mainly compounds of oxygen anx nitrogen..
They are basically are of following types..
1) monosachharides - having 3 -7 carbon compounds.
Ex - ribose ,glucose, fructose ,etc
2) Disachharides having 2- 9 monosaccharids ..
Ex- raffinose

3)polysaccharides- They are polymer chains of monosaccharids..
They are macromolecules...
Ex chitin, insuline, etc..
