Pronoun:-
- A pronoun is a word which is used in the place of a noun. It is of the same person, gender and number as noun for which it is used.
Examples:-
- Rakhi bought a pen. Rakhi kept the pen in the cupboard.
- Rakhi bought a pen. She kept it in the cupboard.
- Here, she and it are the pronouns.

✧EXPLANATION✧:-
1) Personal pronoun:-
- A pronoun which stands for a person or a thing is called as personal pronoun.
Use of personal pronoun :-
- When the pronouns of different persons are used in a sentence, we use the second person first, third person at second place and the first in the end .
Examples:-
- You, he and I shall go to Delhi.
- You and he have finished your work.
2) Interrogative pronouns:-
- They are used for asking questions.
Examples:-
- Who are you?
- Where do you live?
- What is your name?
- Which is your book?
3) Demonstrative pronouns:-
- A demonstrative pronoun is used to point out the object or objects to which it refers.
Examples:-
- This is my book.
- That is your pencil
- These are the oranges
- Those are our friends
4) Indefinite pronouns:-
- The pronouns which refer to persons or thing in a general way. They do not refer to any particular person or thing.
Examples:-
- Somebody has stolen my laptop
- None of the apples is ripe.
- One must do one's duty.
5) Reflexive pronouns:-
- Pronoun in which action of the subject reflects or turns back on the subject itself are called reflexive pronouns.
Examples:-
- He hurted himself.
- You hurt yourself.
- We enjoyed ourselves.
6) Relative pronouns
- The pronouns who, whom, that, whose, and which join two sentences and refer to nouns going before them are called relative pronouns.
7) Distributive pronouns:-
- Those pronouns which refer to persons or things one at a time.
Examples:-
- Each of them takes part in the game.
- Either of the two roads leads to Patna.
8) Emphatic pronouns:-
- A pronoun used to convey emphasis.
Examples:-
- I myself locked the door.
- She herself demanded help.
9) Possessive pronouns:-
- A pronoun that shows possession is called as possessive pronouns.
Examples:-
- This shirt is mine.
- That doll is hers.
