The types of Simple Permanent tissues are:

⭐Parenchyma

•Parenchyma are living tissues and has the power of division.

• It acts as an packing tissue and stores and assimilates food.

• There are abundant intercellular spaces between the cells.

• Also acts as a water storage tissue.



⭐ Sclerenchyma

• These are dead cells.

• Their cell walls are thickened of lignin and are closely packed.

• It provides strength, rigidity, flexibility and elasticity to the plant.



⭐ Collenchyma

• These are living.

• Has cellulose deposition on the walls of the cells.

• Has no intercellular spaces.

• They provide mechanical strength and elasticity.

❱ They are rounded, oval or polygonal in shape with intercellular spaces.
