Chameleon is a reptile. Reptiles play an important role in the balance of an Ecosystem. In most ecosystems, reptiles are the vital part of food chains and they play a huge role both as the prey species and the predators in ecosystems. They also play the role of a pollinator. Chameleons can’t hear much. Like snakes, chameleons do not have an outer or a middle ear so there is neither an ear opening nor an eardrum. However, chameleons are not deaf. They can detect sound frequencies in the range 200–600 Hz.
