They are used to focus light. Unlike convex mirrors, concave mirrors show different image types depending on the distance between the object and the mirror. These mirrors are called "converging mirrors" because they tend to collect light that falls on them, refocusing parallel incoming rays toward a focus.

Concave Mirror :

They are used in headlights of vehicles to send parallel rays to infinity , in shaving mirror to get an enlarged image of the face and also by dentists to see a bigger image of the tooth / teeth .

Convex mirror :

These convex mirrors are used for cars because they give an upright image and provide a wider field of view as they are curved outwards. Convex mirrors are also often found in the hallway of various buildings including hospitals, hotels, schools, stores and apartment building.
