Uses of concave mirrors. Concave mirrors are used in reflecting telescopes. They are also used to provide a magnified image of the face for applying make-up or shaving.
Convex mirrors are used inside the buildings , They are also used in making lenses of sunglasses , They are usedin magnifying glass , They are used in securities and they are used in telescopes
Concave mirrors are used for various purpose:-
1) A concave mirror is used as a reflector in torches, search lights, head lights of motor vehicles etc. to get powerful parallel beam of light.
2. A concave mirror is used as doctors head mirrors to focus light on the body parts like eyes, ears, nose, throat etc., to be examined.
3. A concave mirror is also used as a shaving mirror/makeup mirror, as it can form erect and magnified image of the face.
4. The dentists use concave mirror to observe large images of the teeth of the patient.
Covex mirror for various uses :-
(i) A convex mirror produced an erect image of the object.
(ii) Size of image formed by convex mirror is much smaller than the object. There for it is Used in Side views Mirror.
