Answer:

Land use is when an area is used for a specific purpose to meet the wants and needs of people. The land may be used as it naturally exists, like using a lake for swimming and boating. Or, the land may be changed so that it can be used for another specific purpose, such as a hole being blasted into the side of a mountain so railroad tracks can be laid for trains to pass through.

There are five main types of land use:

Residential, Agricultural, Recreational,

Transportation, and Commercial.

Residential

This means the land is used to provide housing for people to live in.

Agricultural

Land used for agriculture primarily produces food for people to eat. This could be growing fruit or vegetables or raising livestock that produce meat, eggs, and poultry.

Recreational

This means that the land is being used to provide a place for people to relax and play.

Transportation

Land transport is the transport or movement of people, animals or goods from one location to another location on land.

Commercial

Commercial Land means land most suitable for wholesale or retail businesses, financial institutions, professional offices and clinics, service trades and occupations, privately owned public utilities and similar businesses.

Hope it is helpful.
