matter is a substance that has inertia and occupies physical space. according to modern physics, matter consists of various types of particles,each with mass and size the most familiar examples of materials particles are the electron, the proton and the neutron combinations of these particles from atoms.

What is matter ?

Matter is anything that has mass and occupies space !

The uses of matter are as follows :-


(i) Matter is the basis of all nuclear reactions.

➡ All nuclear reactions either involve :

1. splitting of mass

2. fusion of mass

(ii) Matter is the material required for starting chemical reactions.

➡ Every chemical reaction has to start with mass .

(iii) Matter is the basis of life .

➡The cell that you are made up of is made of matter.

➡ Matter is everything you see around and is the very basis of life.

(iv) Matter helps to sustain and develop life !

➡ Matter is everything that you enjoy everything starting from your brain which gives you intelligence .

(v) Matter helps in ecology and balance.

➡ The Universe is made of matter.

➡ It is always in balanced say thanks to dark matter , sun , energy , etc.

(vi) Matter supports energy

➡ Energy cannot do anything alone

➡ Matter supports energy and hence the World is in its place

➡ "Actually life is nothing but a mixture of matter and energy "
