What are the values of x and y when (3-2i)-(x+yi)=(2-3i)

Answer:

given, (3-2i)-(x+yi)=(2-3i)

=> 3 - 2i - x - yi = 2 - 3i

=> (3 - x) - ( y+2 )i = 2 - 3i

on comparing real and imaginary part we get :-

=> 3 - x = 2 and -( y+2 ) = -3

=> x = 1 => y + 2 = 3 => y = 1
